Finding Our Story in the One Who Wrote Ours

Finding Our Story in the One Who Wrote Ours

with Esther Muanankese

Christmas is hands down my favorite holiday of the entire year. I’m the girl jammin’ to Christmas music year round-no shame! I wanted to share the story of Jesus in such a special way this year that helped us to find how we relate to Him and His journey. On this episode, my sweet friend Esther shares with us the beautiful story of Christmas and gives us three ways that we can find our story in the one who wrote ours.

1. Do not despise your beginning. Big or small. “Do not despise these small beginnings...” Zechariah 4:10 NLT Your beginning doesn’t determine your future. Jesus, the greatest man to ever walk this earth, was born in a manger. He was a king but yet His birth wasn’t fit for a king, but that didn’t stop Him. He didn’t let where He came from keep him from where He was going because He knew why He was here and what He set out to accomplish.

2. Expect the unexpected. Sometimes our dreams are birthed in unexpected ways. Example: Salma who wasn’t a fan of children and now is going to school for a childcare degree.

3. Protect the dream you’re chasing. “There will be haters, there will be doubters, there will be non-believers, and then there will be you, proving them wrong.” - Anonymous

I hope that these three points drive as close to your heart as they did for me! Christmas can easily be a holiday that is wrapped up in presents, food, and schedules but let’s focus on what truly is the reason for this season which is the Jesus Christ.
