5 Steps to a Healthier You

This week Drea Eidsvold from LEAN by Drea teaches us 5 tangible steps to becoming a healthier version of ourselves. She believes that if you don't take care of your health you will never be able to reach your goals.

  1. Drink half your weight in oz of water. After this interview I ordered these water bottles for Alex and I and we love them!

  2. Smarter nutrition. Fill up your body with fuel foods. Focus more on adding healthier options, rather than cutting out the not-so-great ones.

  3. Fitness. It's all about changing our mindset on this intimidating word!

  4. Quality sleep. It's more important than what we put in our body and how we get our body moving! It effects our metabolism, our cravings, our weight, etc. Aim to get 7-9 hours of quality sleep a night. If you can't get that many hours in, get as many as you can. Creating a bedtime routine makes this goal even more fun! Drea recommends epsom salts, meditation apps, removing distractions from the bedroom, calm tea, magnesium, and reading.

  5. Mindset. It's something we have to work on everyday. Drea suggests starting each day with an intention and ending each day with gratitude. Surround yourself with positive and like-minded people on your journey. Continuing to learn, helps your mindset grow and assists you in finding new ways to stay in the positive.
